We sing with our minds. In this session we'll look at ways on how to connect body, breath, and mind with the aim to transcend into the music we are performing and make our singing a relaxing and effortless experience.

CIRCLE SINGING: Vocal improvisation and extended vocal techniques
In this session, we'll explore improvising together as a group to a blank canvas whilst exploring different vocal textures, and colors using a variety of sounds and basic extended vocal techniques.

MASTERCLASS: THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SINGER AND ACCOMPANIST
Each singer is invited to bring a song of their own choice. We will explore ways of communicating your musical ideas verbally, and through body language and singing.

This session will be an introduction to Jazz Harmony where we'll explore the relationship between lyrics, melody and harmony.

MASTERCLASS-(with Emilia): Learning a song from the inside and out
In order to be feel 'free' within a song, and to be able to sing what we hear in the moment, we need to know our repertoire inside and out.
You'll be provided with a template for how to practice learning a song well through studying the relationship between melody and harmony and learning the inside of the harmonic structure.

MASTERCLASS: Individual approach and expression:
In this session, we'll work on the song 'HOW INSENSITIVE' and explore different ways of interpretation, arrangement, mood and delivery arriving from a range of different story lines and narratives.

As part of implementing more momentum for my course participants, I am this year including:
-A one-to-one online GOAL SETTING session prior to the course
-A series of FOUR online accountability and practice group sessions post-course, (Sept/Oct/Nov/Dec)
-An online handbook including vocal practice routines, jazz harmony exercises, mindset practice sheets, playlists, and a setlist of standards with lead sheets and audio files/piano accompaniment.
